The Brooks rotational program is a great way to become a well rounded Engineer and learn about a lot of different aspects of the company. It really allows you to get a feel for where you want to go with your career and gives you invaluable insight into the different areas of the company and how it can further improve. Brooks is doing great as a company (just look at the stock and all the new acquisitions) and is an amazing place to be working at right now.

The Rotational program is fairly new so there are some bumps but the company and the CEO are fully invested in it and grooming new young Engineers!

Brooks operates in a genuinely interesting sector with strong technical capabilities and some highly capable people. There are teams doing good work, and the company has real potential with the right CEO.

However, the overall experience is shaped by ongoing layoffs and a consistently volatile environment. Frequent restructuring and shifting priorities make it difficult to build momentum or see initiatives through to completion. There is a constant sense of change without enough stability to support it. This creates uncertainty for employees and impacts morale, engagement, and long-term focus. It is challenging to operate effectively when the direction can shift quickly, and role security feels unclear. In summary, an interesting company in an important industry, but one where greater stability and clearer direction would significantly improve the employee experience.
