If you’re interested in doing a summer at a resort ranch or something similar, check out other surrounding guest ranches for employment before committing to BCR…it’s a lot of really good marketing to reel you in but once you’re employed there, the glitter goes away and you are worked to the bone. They make promises they cannot keep ( such as offering free time to employees to enjoy the natural surroundings which brought them there to begin with….) It is not a safe place to work, they rush training you and thus fail to fully train staff to take safety precautions during dangerous activities. Try

Try exploring other places to work…… the ranch at rock creek in Montana, lost creek ranch in WY and in CO north fork ranch, as well as dozens of others. Just keep your options open!

concierge drops the ball a lot on booking
for some, the rooms and food are a con, for me they weren't but for a lot of other people, this was a big issue.
Free housing and staff meals. Kind guests. Gorgeous location with lots to do. Management was supportive and thoughtful.

Keep your paperwork on hand. Contract changed half way through the season and one of the benefits they kept was misprinted from the original agreement. People in charge accepted the discrepancy and changed the form to match the original, probably an oversight, but pivotal to keep your original documents.
