Vantaggi

Working at BuildWitt has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. The leadership team genuinely believes in the mission of improving the skilled trades industry, and that passion is contagious. You feel like your work actually matters. The culture is collaborative and transparent — leadership communicates openly and employees are treated like adults. There's real opportunity for growth here, and the team is full of hardworking, like-minded people who are passionate about what they do. Work-life balance is respected, and the company continues to invest in its people.

Svantaggi

Like any growing company, things can move fast and processes are still being built out. If you're not comfortable with some ambiguity, it might take adjustment. But if you embrace it, it's actually exciting to help shape how things are done.

Vantaggi

I'm biased and a part of the exec team. We have made a ton of mistakes, but we have a real mission that will make a real difference in the world. We're still a startup transitioning to profitability, and figuring it out as we go along. But I love our team, our customers, and our industry.

Svantaggi

It's not for everyone. If you can't deliver consistent results and thrive in an environment of change, this might not be the best fit.

Everybody not on the ELT is great

Svantaggi

If your thinking of applying here, don't! Unless you have little to no software experience and alot of construction experience. Then you'll fit right in. Earlier this year the company sold off it's creative division to become a software company. Despite this, the CEO doesn't have software experience, and the newly hired CPO has IT experience but no software experience. One of the product managers also doesn't have software experience either. And the people who do have that experience? They're all gone, actively leaving, or thinking about leaving Buildwitt. They've been through several technical leaders (CTO, Director of engineering, engineering manager, etc.) in only a few years. Major red flag if you ask me. If you have software experience and try to help make decisions, suddenly your a problem. What do you mean we can't deliver a ton of work in only a little time? Stop being so negative! Its really sad because there's so many great people at the lower levels, but unless leadership makes some drastic changes, those good people are basically sitting in a sinking ship. They preach transparency but don't practice it. They say they encourage pushing back, but then they punish you for it. I didn't realize how toxic it was until I left and felt like a literal weight was lifted off my shoulders. If your in the good ole boys club, you're golden. Everyone else is just an expendable workhorse.
