Mid-level managers are managers simply because of length of stay, not aptitude or supervisory experience. Knowing how they run and manage their business internally, I would be horrified to be a client of theirs. They don't accept criticism - their way is the best way. Its worked this far....right? Too much focus on growth, not enough or any focus on work/life balance. They don't understand training....period. They do not pay overtime in light of this they still expect employees to work outside of their agreed upon working hours. Team building exercises seem like an alien idea to them. Training programs do not exist and is very ad-hoc. They do not have a process and review system. If you do what you are told here, according to their 'processes', and something screws up - its your fault. They have little aptitude when it comes to reviewing what they can do better and how they can ensure that their employees perform the best. Their key focus is on their clients, not their employees. They refuse to admit to clients when they (the clients) are in the wrong - I understand that the customer is always right but, you can correct a client, its okay to set somebody straight once in a while.
