* same pay as some nearby fast food restaurants (this is a SF tech company) * looked down at for not putting in more hours then signed to work * constant pressure from founders to work on days off/after work/whenever they need you * 0 work life balance * constant feeling that your job is risk if founders are not pleased * almost no diversity among team * asked to work at clients office for ~15 hour days with no overtime * general lack of concern for employees mental health * discrimination towards junior employees in receiving all benefits in a timely manner * PoC might find HR to harbor some nativist ideals that prevent your voice to be heard

It's rare to find a founding team and senior leadership that set a resonating vision for the company, motivating everyone to overcome technical challenges and build a better world with privacy-friendly technology. I joined Butlr as an early member, a time when many decisions were made by the founders. The product evolved quickly, and tough choices were made, which newer members might not understand, but it was necessary at the time. As the company grew, responsibilities were delegated to experienced team leaders who joined later. I appreciate that our CEO trusts these leaders and grants them autonomy to manage their areas, realizing it's not scalable for him to oversee day-to-day operations. I also like that Butlr's primary focus is on improving and delivering the best product to the market, rather than spending heavily on promotions and marketing.

Svantaggi

Fast-paced and need to balance new product features and existing infrastructure improvements. Sometimes moving fast breaks things and requires the team to be innovative and hardworking.
