There is little to no space for career development if you are good at your job, congrats that is where you will forever be. They also keep laying off people because C-suite decided to invest too much in AI too quickly and now they don't have money and no one is buying these new products at a good enough rate to actually support said investment. It is a nonprofit that is being run to the ground by non scientists.
