Dear former sales employee - You didn’t identify yourself so we don’t know who you are, but it is apparent you either left on your own disgruntled or you were terminated and didn’t like what happened. We are sorry you feel that way but some of your presented comments need correction. 1. The company did not bring in a consultant as a CEO. I was hired as the CFO and promoted into the CEO role. 2. Yes we made a lot of changes some good some bad and yes some people lost their job if they did not perform. That’s the most gut wrenching part of my job. But I lead this process only because we at C B Structures believe - if you can’t get a non performer to perform yet still keep that person employed, the real achievers may conclude that results aren’t important and ask why work so hard, it doesn’t matter. Performance overall starts to decline. It a matter of fairness. Sometimes you’re wrong sometimes you’re right. It is never done lightly. 3. Your comment about how we used to have over 100 employees and implying that was good and today is bad is comparing apples to oranges. We made a decision to become a turnkey general contractor of larger buildings coordinating all phases of construction vs. just constructing smaller garages and building the structure only with someone else doing the excavation insides etc. We went outside to sub-contractors and phased out in house crews many of which we helped start their own company and we still use today. Of course that meant less C B Structures employees because we rely on outside sub contractors. Indeed if you were to count sub contractor employees as if they were employees of C B Structures I am sure we would have much more than 100. 4. Your comment about “used to pay well” implies we pay low and that is unfounded. We keep current with local wage surveys and will adjust individual compensation if we feel it is not at market. We have given annual raises every year for as long as I can remember (even during the financial crisis of 2009) and that was done only after we researched the competitive raise amounts. 5. I am sorry you classify 2/3 of the owners in the con category. I consider them all in the pro category. I work with all three owners and I am proud to be associated with each and every one of them. They are my bosses and it is a pleasure dealing with owners who genuinely care about people. They didn’t grow up rich and they risked everything to start a business. Most people don’t even try. They tried and succeeded. How cool is that. 6. Your comment about me taking companies bankrupt is just untrue. I have never worked or consulted for a company that went bankrupt. Indeed as far as I know they still exist today. I’ve worked for Ernst & Young the largest CPA firm in the world, Ingersoll-Rand Company a highly successful international multi billion dollar manufacturer. I also was instrumental in saving a lumber yard from closing its doors that still operates today, and additionally I have experienced a high growth super successful hi-tech company. 7. Finally your comment that you are not optimistic about our future. -- Considering that the great employees of C B Structures have not lost money under my tenure nor under the tenure of my old boss who I loved working for, and considering that we have enjoyed the backing of the same bank and bonding company for a very long time, we believe you should feel just the opposite. One final comment, life is sometimes not fair, trust me some really bad unfortunate personal things have happened to me in life, but I find solace in just giving it a funeral and moving on. I can’t change the past but the past doesn’t need to be the future. Rich Stanislaw CEO

Vantaggi

I have over 43 years of building construction experience and am working for them on a part-time basis in the office. I have found the current employees and owners of this company to be very engaged, knowledgeable and customer focused. Their quality and attention to detail is surpassed only by their desire to make the customer happy.

Svantaggi

If there is one, it is that they have an abundant amount of orders currently, yet are able to provide their customers with quick, dependable delivery and service.

Vantaggi

Relaxed atmosphere- how could it not be? Sub-Contracted crews, especially for framing and concrete were great. They laid me off instead of firing me for having surgery... I guess I’ll take it!

Svantaggi

Dishonesty and unprofessional behavior. Management speaking inappropriately about clients and other employees and breeding the same culture through the staff. Men were certainly superior in the company culture. Getting laid off two weeks into medical leave under the guise that a department that had nothing to do with my duties was being eliminated leaving me without health insurance and COBRA that would have been as expensive as my mortgage payment.
