In general, the people who work for the company are knowledgeable in commercial real estate and there are lots of opportunities to learn other facets of the real estate world.

It is a very large, public corporation, and as such, change happens VERY slowly. Also, public image and share holder opinions are often more important than what is best for the employees. If you are a broker, you are infallible, but employees are often treated as replaceable commodities. Not enough time is put into recruitment and education of employees verses brokers.
