Managers support the implementation of good ideas with resources (budget, other staff, coaching). Working in a multi-disciplinary team broadens your skillset - you can add value to your colleagues' work with your particular skills (which is professionally satisfying) and vice versa. Most of the team is relatively new to the organisation, so you won't encounter internal resistance to change. Very flat organisational structure - not uncommon to share a beer with the CEO on a Friday!
