the pay is great for an entry-level sales job. And some of the events they have for the employees every blue moon are pretty cool that's about it
Svantaggi
For starters, you get paid your commission upon delivery and most items are not available until a few months so your commission checks are scattered. Secondly, micromanaging is unbelievable. They promise you the freedom to work your way but stop you at everything you try to do regardless of how good you are. Any problems with your customer's orders? good luck trying to get a manager to assist you. All they tell you to do is call customer service, and then you have to figure it out on your own when customer service tells you to talk to your manager. The company offers one free weekend a month for good sales associates but when you ask for it, suddenly it's never available due to the store's numbers. You sign up for a job in sales and end up doing account management, customer support, janitorial duties, inventory count, and then sales. Not to mention the overwhelming feeling that you are harassing the customers to add the "services" (warranty) when they stated they didn't want them in the first place. If they didn't add the services your sale doesn't hold weight. I was told to contact previous customers about offers and sales we had going on, who have not had their furniture fixed from delivery drivers carelessly damaging them, or haven't received the items for months. also if any customer decides to not accept the furniture upon delivery, three times for any reason, they fully house (take) that sales commission. Whether it is your fault or not.
