Vantaggi
Non-management staff and providers were generally great. Good practical exposure to medicine and at times. Salary not too bad if you’re in a post-undergrad transition period for ~2-3 years
Svantaggi
Management is uneven, but more likely you’ll find someone problematic because they’ve scared away or overworked all the good ones away. Mgmt will play favorites, hover while working, ignore logical requests, and smile in your face as they give you a $0.27 “raise”. They will try to call you before your shift so that they can have you go straight to another site (wherever it maybe in your borough) and then chastise you for not answering their call on your way to YOUR SITE. That’s bc they can’t make you get back on the train as part Inconsiderate of scheduled breaks. Will try to have you come in on your day off for a 2-hour meeting AFTER closing. Resistance to doing tasks outside your job description. Hours, duties, and pay clearly take advantage of young people working their first full time job. And not sure if this has changed since 2017, but maternity leave for non-mgmt was 2 weeks. “Union” = that which we do not speak, or your site will be getting an executive visit lol.
