If you’re under the right organization (corporate/tech) and team, life is easy, you can use the unlimited PTO they advertise, and no one ever points a finger at you.

If you’re dealing with operations of CLEAR Plus, life is hard. Constant technology and compliance changes (often rushed and untested) bring the operations to a halt. The primary product for revenue, CLEAR Plus, is deteriorating in value to the customers who would use it. The operations do not receive the budget required to maintain good staffing or equipment, while a vast wealth of funds goes to their lavish HQ in NY and the teams that sit there. Communication from between teams and organizations is also very poor, and decisions are made too hastily. Everything is a battle to stay afloat, rather than to journey anywhere meaningful. If they will not support their main product (and the people who sell and maintain the operation of that product), CLEAR will fail.

CLEAR offered remote work, schedule flexibility, and good benefits. The workload was manageable at times, and some leaders were supportive and helpful when available.

The role often felt fast-paced, high-pressure, corporate, and metrics-heavy. Policies were somewhat clear but not always, and expectations were not always realistic. There were training gaps, frequent policy changes, limited growth opportunities, and not always enough time or support to do the job well. Speed often seemed to matter more than quality. Communication and organization were also challenges. Knowledge documents were difficult to locate, even with keywords that should have produced clear results, which made it harder to assist members efficiently and accurately. Some feedback from management also felt discouraging because mistakes were not always approached as coaching opportunities.
