So hugely unqualified people erroneously believe that they’re perfectly qualified. This effect that has an unfortunate tendency to create the worst possible bosses. The managers are mostly from MD management. They have the utmost job security and if they fail at front office, they became the head of middle office. The poor governance starts from the investment committee, where the external "experts" are on tight leash with their contract renewed on an annual basis by the management.
