Vantaggi
We work hard, but we also have a lot of fun on the Support team! We collaborate with each other often, and everyone on the team is always willing to help if you have a question. There are generous benefits comparative to what I received at a large employer previously: 4 weeks PTO upon hire, 4% 401k match, medical EPO, dental PPO, vision, FSA, Life, STD, optional employee-paid (but cheap) LTD, and, most importantly, a flexible work environment. In Support, our normal hours are pretty set in stone, but you can work remotely occasionally as needed or shift your hours for a day here and there. You hardly ever get a "no" from management if you need time off or to work remotely for family stuff, medical appointments or anything else. This is something I greatly value: the understanding that I'm human and sometimes have important commitments outside of work.
Svantaggi
There were some interdepartmental communication and other structural issues when I first started, but management is aware of these and has been actively working with employees and other managers to bring about structural and cultural changes in the company. We are going through some growing pains and major, positive cultural changes (as of early 2019), but my confidence in management's vision and strategy has grown significantly over the past year.
