In full transparency, I am writing this review years after I was let go from this company and want to share my experience to warn others of what to expect. Fraternity Culture -If you aren't into cliques this place is not for you. It is odd in a workplace to see management/senior management/and new hires all be hired from the same University. A majority of these folks are U of I grads. If you don't believe me, go on LinkedIn, Search for 'Contax' as a company and scroll through the first 10-15 people who work or have worked there and see where they attended school. Also, there isn't much color or gender diversity at the Chicago office. D and I - It's non-existent This is a male-dominated office. In my 2 year tenure at Contax there was one woman who was hired as a Project Manager who left after 6 months. This office is also devoid of color. As a minority, there was only one other minority in an office with about 30 employees. it would be fascinating to see D and I numbers from their Chicago office. Why Was I Fired - I was tasked to lead an implementation for a mid-size company of a rapid deployment ERP reporting solution. The rapid deployment solution however has a dependency where certain databases are required on the client side. The client did not have the required Database which was documented in the Rapid Deployment solution documentation. However, the implementation SOW was already signed and invoiced. After spending sleepless nights creating DB tables and schemas manually (There was nothing rapid about it), I was let go for failing to complete the project.
