Vantaggi
COS has great health and time off benefits and that is truly it. If you need a part time job this might not be too bad of a gig. Store teams are full of interesting and fun people. Many travel opportunities pre-Covid.
Svantaggi
I would advise anyone that is serious about their career or values their physical, mental and emotional well-being to seriously reconsidering working here. This is not a good career move for those in store management or full time sales associates. If you want to work for a company that covers up harassment, pays women less, belittles people of color this the place for you. The way they handled the COVID pandemic was atrocious to say the least. They were the last brand at the H&M group to take any action when it came to sending extra cleaning products to their stores, setting up COVID protocols and store closures. When we reopened they never knew what to do when someone had been exposed or had contracted the virus. There’s two situations a week apart were they allowed one white employee to be paid for two weeks to quarantine because he were living with somebody infected with Covid. However, there was a black woman who was also living with somebody infected with Covid and they made her use her PTO until it ran out and then she had to come back to work putting her coworkers at risk. Once on a conference call a controller congratulated the teams for making cuts in payroll while we were still at the height of the pandemic. People were really struggling and still very scared to come to work. They will use you for all your talents and all your skills, and rarely consider any form of increase in compensation or promotions. They are people who have been with this company for four years who only received a $0.52 raise in the entire time they were with COS. Lastly, if you think you are going to be working for H&M‘s more ethical, more sustainable or better quality sister brand you’re not. COS is very much still fast fashion, I’ve owned better quality clothes from forever 21 and there products are made the same way H&M makes their. All in all do not apply and if you did don’t accept the offer.
