Occasional generous cash bonuses of a couple hundred dollars, generous matching of employees retirement contributions

Low base pay for repair and production departments. (The generous bonuses and retirement contributions mean very little when the regular salary isn't enough to save anything.) Repair team is making below industry standard. Repair department is lacking in any kind of standards for repair work and very disorganized. Little opportunity for additional training or career growth. Upper management is largely unaware of what happens on a daily basis, yet also tries to micromanage occasionally. An example of this: CEO make a visit when middle management is off sick and inspects the team inventory and starts throwing things away without consulting the absent management. CEO makes no effort to hide his low opinion of department, loudly making statements like "These machines only have 3 or 4 parts." and suggesting that anyone could do this work. Company tries to sell itself as eco friendly, yet doesn't consistently engage in eco friendly policies.
