- Camunda does really value a Remote culture and Flexible Time Off (FTO). C-level leadership take more than a month of vacation every year. The company is really flexible with working hours and there is no judgement for working when you need. You can take a morning off, work from a different time zone, etc. We are measured by the quality of our output. - There's lots of room to grow professionally. I still have the feeling that we're a startup where we're encouraged to bring new ideas and work independently. Managers trust us with large projects and new challenges. - Compensation for Europe is at or above similar companies. - I like being a part of a company that produces a good product. We have good customer ratings and NRR. We aren't "making the world a better place" but we are creating something useful. In my time at camunda I watched our annual customer event grow from a couple hundred to over a thousand people. - The leadership team is made up of some "been there, done that" and some that rose through the ranks. I think it's a good mix that offers healthy perspective. - The CEO is thoughtful, interested, and curious. He is open to being challenged and responds well to other ideas. The positive aspects of Camunda's culture come from him.
Svantaggi
- We want to be a category leader, but we are a bit slow in realizing this goal. We have product delays which impede this from a customer perspective and alignment/execution delays which impede us from an internal perspective. - I think that part of making a remote culture really work are making sure that there are in person events that build alignment and trust. I understand cancelling the retreat but think we should continue with the regional social gatherings and invest in smaller, local events. - The equity is quite small and does not motivate me.

Great remote first culture. Every tech stack you could really want to get the job done. Great market leading product. The CEO & Chief of Staff really LISTEN and care. Benefits are wonderful, from health, to 401k and much more. Pay is great for the U.S.

With growth comes pains... we have a lot of new hires & people exiting, which is normal for this type of start up in the midst of a high amount of growth. The toxic leader I believe everyone else posted about is officially gone, so that con is now eliminated.

The people who work at Camunda are, of course, the biggest pro. Benefits are good, as well.
Svantaggi
The culture is downright awful. Employee programs have been slashed almost completely - no more retreat, no more regional social gatherings, no time together in person with your teams. Not only that, but the CEO blatantly said Camunda is not the place for job security or work-life balance and if you're looking for that, you can find it elsewhere. People are being laid off left and right. People are fearful for their jobs and I've heard of a lot of team members who are looking elsewhere. The standards that are given when you're hired are sometimes not attainable, especially when there is little to no direction from management. When I started, I had zero training time at all outside of the company onboarding. My team didn't assist at all in helping me learn the ropes- I was just thrown out to the wolves and expected to start projects with no guidance. This tends to be common across multiple teams, as well. A lot of middle management do not know how to run teams and although they go through "people manager training" that doesn't seem to do any good as they're still mostly incompetent.
