It can be fun and relaxed compared to working at other hotels. All staff get a sweet deal on rooms at any location. There are some good managers who I enjoy working with.

Management is constantly, constantly changing and it makes it hard to do your job properly. Fired someone who worked here for 10 years with no notice because they no longer needed his position only to hire someone in that position a year later. After that I wanted no future with this company. All the good managers leave and all the rotten ones stay.

Coworkers were excellent, great, hardworking people. Half off at in-store restaurants is a pretty sweet deal. Semi-flexible schedule, however there were some times management wouldn't compensate for employees who requested time off and the front desk would be understaffed.

Terrible management. Often times there were 2 of us scheduled on a booked Thursday or Friday night. Checking in 100+ rooms between 2 people takes HOURS and guests start to get very unhappy. Housekeeping absolutely sucks. Leaving at 4 PM when there are still rooms to be cleaned on a booked Friday night? The GSA's catch all the flak for that. Room runners and GSA's had to end up preparing rooms. Corporate treats the Grand Forks location like dirt. Just because something works perfectly at your Winnipeg location doesn't mean it'll work here. They're "do it by the numbers" guys without actually taking a look at the problems at hand.
