- You will never lose your job short of getting caught stealing something - Very stable, and most positions generally get out at 5 pm every day, only to sit in 20 minutes of traffic leaving the building. - While strict with vacation time and personal time, they are understanding of personal issues and the stable work hours (in most positions) make it good for someone who has a family and needs that stability - Lots of opportunity for experience. Theres always something going on like projects etc, however this will not translate into more money, but helps to pad the resume. - Interesting business and product with great employee discounts, and opportunities to see/use/learn about the products which are fun and interesting. - Cafeteria is amazing, food is great, many choices from healthy to heart attack.

- If you have any sort of ambition this place will crush it. - A lot of people are very unhappy there, but stay because they know whether they do well or not, they will always be there. - Good work is rewarded with more work. Promotions are few and far between, raises barely meet cost of living, and often you feel that if they would just fire some people who don't contribute (theres a bunch) then maybe the people who do, can get a better raise, but they won't. - Many expats have blatant disregard for other people's time, they do not realize that staying late for no reason other than to wait for someone to squeeze in 10 minutes to give an approval is completely rude and unfair. - In that vein sometimes you end up stuck staring at the wall for hours waiting for an expat who is holding up the entire process, but nothing is done because of their position (and they are not necessarily upper management) - Also as nice as people pretend to be, everyone knows promotions are few and far between and the management tend to be very nearsighted. Once my manager realized I was a threat to his position if the higher ups realized the work I was doing, and to ensure his advancement, he made sure to take credit for my wins, and toss me under the bus for the groups losses. I found my department was not the only area things like this took place. - Pay is lower than anywhere else for similar position, yearly bonus is a minimal amount for a company that creates tremendous profits. Promotions are won and lost on insignificant factors. - Laptops are provided for you to be able to work remotely, but you aren't really allowed to work remotely due to weather/illness/etc, if you aren't physically in the building between 9 and 5 you're using vacation/sick/personal time. The laptop is so you can work remotely outside of that time period, for free (and yes I know thats the nature of the beast with any of certain salary positions, but this place will let you work 10-12 hour days during crunch time, and then bust your chops for being 15 minutes late back from lunch, once). - There are people in fairly mid-low level positions who are very good and integral to the operation of the company, when those people inevitably figure out how important they are, they leave because they are never recognized. Then the company undergoes a 3-6 month fire drill figuring out how to survive without them. Ridiculous for a company this size, and for those people every time they need to take a day off its a battle.
