9yHi there – I’m sorry you had a poor experience with us. I appreciate your feedback as we’re always looking for ways to improve.
Just wanted to take a moment and make sure I’m addressing your concerns.
First, in terms of diversity, there is a HUGE problem in our industry with disproportionate workforces in terms of gender. I am hyper aware of this problem as I believe that a diversity of perspectives is critical for success.
A recent report puts the average percentage of women working at tech companies like Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft and Twitter at just 29.1%.
At Canvs, women make up 34.6% of our workforce as of this past month. We also have two high powered female executives currently serving on our board. And while we’re proud that we are exceeding the status quo, we can always be getting better.
You mentioned a failure to respect women, which, if true, is inexcusable. We’ve recently added new language in our employee welcome letter and handbook to reiterate our zero tolerance policy about discrimination. I’ve also recently run a feedback session with our female employees to understand any concerns directly, and we’ve brought on a HR consultant to re-introduce company-wide training for workplace behavior.
From a wage standpoint, we’re proud to provide equal opportunity employment and compensation for our team. We hire the best talent available, and compensate them well, with salary re-evaluations every 6 months. There is absolutely no wage gap between men and women at Canvs.
Thanks again for the feedback and best of luck!
