It is a pleasure to work at a non-profit organization with a larger than life mission to help the most needy populations in the country. CBI is structurally strong and organized to work towards making positive change in communities. I love knowing that my "job" is making a difference and is in direct alignment with my passion.

Due to working at an organization that is directly aligned with my passion, it is often a challenge to maintain my work/life balance. Also, being a person with a high level of compassion, it is hard to witness some of the societal ills that our target communities face. I have to remind myself that we can't fix all of the problems, we can only contribute to the effort of fixing them.

Management of programs in communities is relies heavily on partnerships.

The ED is the least trained person on staff. Makes up policies as she sees fit for herself. Constantly talks about people on her staff. Very fake. Makes up her own rules. Very top heavy. No raises just extra days off.
