Svantaggi
I'm writing this review in English, with the intension to inform as many people as possible (international). For all people looking for honest reviews, you might as well just filter on the ones with least stars, as HR will bury the negative reviews (real ones) with fake ones. I will take you through just a part my horrendous experience at this terrible company. Starting from day 1 (on-boarding), it struck me how many people were hired (150+ on the same day). Looking back that was certainly a major red flag. Ask yourself: which established company, with no new start-up branches, would need so many new people at the same time, every month? Only companies which experience a massive outflow. That should already speak volumes. After one week, in which we were still going through the on-boarding process we were offered to clients without our consent. No discussion took place to see whether we were actually interested. Its essentially all about the money. The project in which i was forced into had very little to no connections with my previous experience nor interest. Feeling insecure about the interview, staffing told me to bluff my way through it, and to "sell" myself. According to them, if i'd fail the interview, my career at Capgemini would be bumpy - a direct threat. I had to lie my way through the interview. I did not enjoy my time at the project, not because of the work or anything. But it completely did not match my interests. So i communicated many times to staffing that i wanted another project. I was told that as a young professional, i had to prove myself to Capgemini that i was loyal, so i had to stay on the project longer. They also mentioned that there were many employees who did not have a project, so there was no room for me on the "bench". But why would a company hire so many people, if so many couldnt even get a project? And i'd be the one to blame. This took approx. 8 months. My time on the bench was dreadful. Everyone who was available for longer than 2 months was automatically seen as a blood sucker (someone who receives salary but does not bring in any money). To be honest, the problem cant even be placed on us, every single one of us wanted to work, there was just almost no work to do... But still they kept on hiring more people. The problem kept piling up and it was very normal to be on the bench for over a year without any projects. The company also does not believe in illnesses, or burnouts. These people are seen as fakers, and bloodsuckers, that had to be removed from the company asap. So what to do with all these people? My colleague had a talk with his manager and HR, and in short: they wanted him to leave. He refused. And the weeks and months following that, they'd force him on projects more than 100km away, not offering hotel stays. He spent more than 3 hours traveling every day. They knew he had a small child, but still zero understanding was shown. They made sure that his life was as miserable as possible, hoping he would then leave. All in all, from these bits and pieces and lining up the clues. i realised i had to leave as soon as possible. Its a waste of your life and career to be at this company. All interesting projects will go to seniors and strong favouritism is very common. You will end up like dogs fighting for scraps. Everything evolves around money, and zero effort is put into finding the right fit. You will end up, either being sent on a project that has 0 connections to your skills and interests, or on the bench. And believe me, in due time, your confidence, will and drive will decrease. In some cases, the managers would even bring up your appearance as an issue - "cut your hair", "tuck your shirt", "get fit". Why do you think so many young people experience burn-outs here? I know its a bit long, but unfortunately this is just the tip of the iceberg. Think with a clear head, and go through the negative reviews, there is absolutely no sense in reading the positive ones as i first hand experienced that HR asked people on the bench to post 5 star reviews to bury the negative ones. Notice that positive reviews are mostly very short? I'm sure this review will be buried in a matter of a week or two. Its an insanely toxic and dark company to work for, do not believe in their sugar coated promises, because none will come true. Lets not even mention the fact that the income is minimal. The fact that they are not part of any worker's union says enough right?
