In a consulting company, your learning is from training, keeping up to date with new technologies, methodologies and innovations in the market (you need to be up to date and versatile), learning from projects that usually tend to be short to medium term (if you are a highly sought after resource) or a long term project (if your skills are beneficial to only the project) , and learning from experience of working in different roles at different places.
