It’s difficult to identify many genuine positives. Some non-management staff were supportive and hardworking, but unfortunately many of the good employees did not stay long-term due to the toxic culture and poor leadership.

I would never recommend CardioScan as a workplace. The culture is heavily driven by micromanagement, fear, and control rather than trust, support, or genuine leadership. HR creates an environment where staff often feel anxious, unsupported, and constantly scrutinised instead of empowered to do their jobs well. Ideas for improvement, collaboration, or positive cultural change are frequently dismissed very quickly, which leaves employees feeling unheard and undervalued. Rather than encouraging growth and development, there is a clear culture of protecting egos and maintaining control. One of the most disappointing aspects was the lack of support from senior leadership, particularly the CEO. Concerns around staff wellbeing, morale, and toxic workplace culture appeared to be ignored rather than addressed. Many talented and hardworking employees have left because they no longer felt supported or psychologically safe in the environment. There are some genuinely good people working there, but the overall culture makes it difficult for staff to succeed or feel appreciated. Until leadership takes accountability and prioritises people over politics, I could not recommend working here.

Work with some good people and do meaningful work.

In my experience, HR has created a toxic work environment driven by fear, exclusion and micromanagement. There always seems to be lot of work to do, but very little opportunity for growth. I’ve found that the company talks big values and acts like it will support staff, but this is rarely converted into real action.
