We have big-goals and people deliver on their commitments, but when people work is quite flexible. Sometimes it can take longer than ideal to determine what the goals for a given year will look like which can cause some things to still be getting figured out when the next year starts. I feel like this is pretty common with companies, but it can have an impact. On the positive, once the goals are set they tend to not be shifted frequently so we know what are big focus areas are for the next year.
