I've worked at CareerPlug for awhile now and can honestly say the majority of people are amazing, talented and easy to work with. PTO policy is generous, work/life balance is healthy for the most part and other benefits are great too. Although the product needs work at times, most of our clients are satisfied with it and see great results.

Although the company has been around almost 15 years, it still very much has a start-up feel and just can't seem to get things together. Processes are constantly being changed (more than a typical start-up company) and we never seem to be able to appropriately staff the company in order to scale. In the past year there have been some big changes that have unfortunately affected the morale and culture of the company. CareerPlug is continuing to restructure with no clear vision and valuable team members have been laid off. No one is quite sure the direction the company is going. When team members quit (or are fired) they are rarely replaced; instead their work is just handed off to other team members who are already swamped with work, even if it's a completely different role than what they were hired for. (Example, Client Success Managers being expected to answer Support tickets all day, etc). The President of the company is ultimately making all decisions and while the CEO used to be more involved he has taken a step back. I would think twice before getting a job here.
