You receive a service vehicle, with a fee of approximately $60 deducted from your paycheck each month. Additionally, your cell phone and internet are fully paid for. There is minimal contact with other employees, the team is highly experienced, and the customers are manageable.

Raises are minimal to non-existent, and older employees tend to be territorial. Supervision is often too busy, leaving lead technicians to handle calls, which adds unnecessary stress. There’s no real opportunity for growth unless you train on every piece of equipment, overloading your schedule while receiving the same pay. Objectives and goals may be written, but they are not genuinely tied to earning a raise. Difficult customers are often assigned to newer engineers, and support outside of your immediate team is poor. The company serves as a way to earn money but has a terrible culture. There are no mass meetings, no thoughtful gestures like sending gifts, and no recognition for going above and beyond for customers. It feels like a place where you simply work without any sense of satisfaction or fulfillment, essentially a dead-end job. Gaining more knowledge or skills often feels like a punishment rather than an opportunity with this company.

These meetings provide updates on performance, goals, and initiatives, and we encourage participation. If you didn’t receive your gift from last year’s kickoff meeting, please reach out to your manager, who can help resolve this. We want to ensure everyone feels appreciated. We also want to clarify that our performance appraisal process directly impacts raises and bonuses. If you’re uncertain about how the process works, we recommend discussing this with your manager, who can provide guidance on how goals, evaluations, and compensation align. We hear your concerns about career growth, team dynamics, and recognition. While growth opportunities often involve developing new skills and expertise, we strive to ensure workloads are balanced and employees feel supported.
