I took a pretty hefty pay cut to join a workplace that promised to push me out of my comfort zone, and that is what I got. in the last 5 months I've learned more than I had in the previous 2 years and been presented with greater opportunities than I would've had if I'd just stayed with my enterprise role. In short it was absolutely worth the risk

The growth we're seeing does come with with frustrations but every single person is given the opportunity to drive forward and speak up. My only other worry is I don't want to see a similar chasm open up between GTM/Sales and Product & Engineering that was evident in companies I've worked for previously, we need to stay as one team.

2023 was quite the year for Customer Success at Cascade. There were lots of changes and several new faces joined the team at both a leadership and IC level. The product is reasonably complex, which makes Customer Success'ing perhaps a little more challenging than a rull-of-the-mill SaaS company. However I think the company ackowledges this and has done a great job of laying the right foundations in terms of people and process for a successful 2024.

As mentioned, the product is exciting but can be quite complex and is best suited to larger organizations that have a strong change management culture already in place. That isn't necessarily the case with every customer, and that can make the job of Customer Success at Cascade a challenge at times.
