Obviously the salary, benefits, training opportunities, and travel. I liked that we had the resources to provide unique services to our clients.

Upper management has generally never been a case manager for Casey and therefore does not understand and is not sympathetic to the trials of a case manager. They want you to give your whole life to Casey and work obscene hours, all so you can meet your "numbers" (by meeting the numbers, upper management gets 25% of their 300,00+ salary). You are encouraged tocherry pick clients so as to be able to meet your "numbers" of successful permanencies. We should be helping the the most difficult kids, but instead we choose the easist and give ourselves a false sense of success. I have NO CONFIDENCE in the leadership of Casey. No one wants to hear new or innovative ideas from "folks at the bottom." Only 1 or 2 people make decisions at Casey and as a worker it makes you feel pretty impotent. The hierarchy and buracracy are so tedious and disgusting . You cannot advance at Casey. they hire only outside folks.

-Would prefer staff be confined to offices rather than being in the community meeting the needs of clients -Very minimal upward mobility, minimal salary increases, pay inequities amongst staff -Unfair performance reviews, clear favoritism, and poor treatment of direct service staff which impacts families served -Poor management decision making that can lead to legal liability due to high risk situations -High staff turnover due to poor working conditions and poor upper leadership
