Vantaggi
Healthcare benefits are pretty good. about $70 a month if your single. - A lot more money if you have a family though. You will meet some people here that you may become good friends with. They are somewhat flexible when it comes to schedule flexibility. You may be given the opportunity to work from home during days where there is bad weather. The call volume is not as high as other call centers.
Svantaggi
Management is non-existent. Opportunities for promotion are also non-existent. A bunch of CSR's including myself have worked here in the last 4 years have received no pay raise at all. I have applied for many different positions, but was not given an interview. Not even a chance. If you are horrible at your level 1 (CSR) job then you will get promoted because they will not want you taking phone calls hurting quality. They don't want to fire you either because it will look bad on the companies turn over ratio. (Which is already high) So, Suck at the job you get promoted. Do good and you will stay where you're at. I know so many people here that are veterans who are actively looking for another job. They turn off the AC units and in the building it can get really hot with all the computers. (80 degrees +) Only when the CSR's complained and threatened to go to OSHA did they do something about it. The upper management does nothing. They give all their work to lower management, and lower management gives all their work to CSR's. So some CSR's will have the opportunity to do reports all day. They treat some people differently than others which is evident if you work here. It creates huge animosity between people on the same team. The people they are hiring have no experience and come from past jobs like wal-mart, food industry, sales. No IT experience necessarily to work here. You just have to be able to pick up a phone. I have been stabbed in the back by management. Reports that were suppose to filed to HR were never filed because they made a deal with someone behind the scenes. I could go into great detail, but it would be useless as the management who I am referring to no longer works with the company. I just found a better job and I'm so happy to leave. I would not recommend this call center / data center to anyone. I wouldn't recommend this job even if you are just starting out and need experience. I would tell you to look elsewhere - otherwise you'll be sorry in the end.
