Vantaggi
The company offered a matching salary+10% for the place I was working at the time they call me. The promised training, working from home, but I did travel to clients (5 different states in a period of 19 months) and while the training was never there, I did work from home about 75% of the time.
Svantaggi
I did not have any complains from any of the clients I was supporting, so out of the blue I get a call from the central office telling me I was laid off, my manager did not have any explanation of WHY, just that they needed to drop some personal and since some of the client that stop having Centroid as their provider, where some of the one I was providing the service, I was let go. The training that was promised never was offered, and I found out when I started traveling, that traveling time (which some weeks were up to 12 hours) were not considered as working, I did not get pay for those hours. Secondly, when I applied for my next job, the company I was applying for a new job informed me that my ex-manager told them I was fired, not laid off. But I was receiving unemployment, so if I was fired I could not, I called HR myself and they certainly told me I was laid of NOT fired. By then, the company I was trying to get a new job, found someone else during the 2-3 days Centroid delay to get back to me, so I lost a perspective job thanks to them. I will not recommend this company to others, once I was out of there I asked at least 15 people to just make a simple recommendation in linkedin for me, and I was told Centroid employees ARE NOT allow to make recommendations to former employees in any website.
