Vantaggi
Teachers (one and only support system) Students (some truly have a love of learning) Preschool (excellent phonics program)
Svantaggi
Lack of support by management who actively tears you down for while allowing other teachers to do same thing Teachers are treated like poorly behaved children and called into meeting for a scolding based on mood that day One manager will say one thing only to lead to an interrogation by management—very poor communication skills Free periods are frequently taken away without making accommodations for teachers to keep up with HEAVY workload (little-to-no work-life balance) Discourages freedom to find solutions and dislikes teachers using each other as resources Manages staff by using fear tactics and encourages teachers to throw others under the bus so management can look like they’re “on top of things” No assistant teacher so workload is solely on the teacher who manages a classroom size that nearly matches public school class sizes Longer school year (no fall or mid-winter breaks) and shorter summer breaks but salaries do not reflect this No flexibility with schedule so take no time off or experience difficult process for PTO Culture and nepotism is cripplingly oppressive
