Vantaggi

Benefits are ok but are a bit expensive only office personnel make enough to afford them. PTO is available after 90 days and after a year you get a 40 hrs of paid vacation time. Fairly laid back but seems to be changing to a more micromanaging atmosphere. The products are something people can be proud of producing.

Svantaggi

They change the schedules before daylight savings time so you have to adjust for the changes 4 times a year instead of 2. Not climate controlled. A lot of unsafe chemicals in certain areas. The people manufacturing the products are looked down upon and disregarded. They shut down around Christmas for a week sometimes a little longer with no pay so you end up having to use your time off or suffer financially. They will work you in overtime for long periods of time then throw you back to 40 hours so be prepared for that. Overtime paychecks can pay the bills but 40 hr paychecks do not so stash during overtime. No way to work your way up. You have to come in at the level you aspire to. You can't work your way there.

Vantaggi

Handful of good people. Variety of work. Sounds like it should be a fun place to work when you meet chicks at a bar.

Svantaggi

Privately owned and if owner doesn't like you on a personal level, you are out the door. When work is slow, knee jerk layoffs. In fact cycles of heavy ot, followed by irrational layoffs. Poorly organized and no clear long term plan to make it better. Poor work instructions if you have any. Unappreciative ownership. Rework of rework is common then they decide to make a new part to see if it fits any better... then you rework that one a few times.... All on the day it is supposed to ship. None of which is your fault, but did I mention layoffs?... Yeah the guys on the floor suffer for the mistakes up in the cubicles and offices. A lot of good hard working people know what I am talking about and have a bad taste in their mouth after this roller coaster ride. Ironic.
