Vantaggi
Little to no pros of working for changing lives.
Svantaggi
Changing Lives is a non-profit organization that claims to be dedicated to helping vulnerable people. However, my experience working there showed me that they are more interested in making money than in caring for their staff or clients. I was constantly overworked and underpaid. Management was unresponsive to my concerns, and I felt like I was just a cog in a machine. I saw other staff members being treated unfairly and bullied, and HR did nothing to intervene. It is clear to me that Changing Lives is exploiting its workers' rights. They pay below-market wages, offer little to no benefits, and create a hostile work environment. I would not recommend working for this company to anyone. Particularly when they're making drastic changes to the way we deliver our job. Which is along the lines of, 50% less staff, 100% more workload. Here are some specific examples of the poor treatment of staff at Changing Lives: I was expected to work long hours without overtime pay. I was often criticised for my work, by under-qualified "management" teams with no constructive feedback. I was not given the resources or support I needed to be successful. I was made to feel guilty for taking time off, even for holidays. I witnessed other staff members being bullied and harassed by management. This starts at the top, if your face doesn't fit, you will be out. I am deeply disappointed by the way Changing Lives treats its staff. They claim to be a non-profit organisation that is dedicated to helping others, but the truth is that they are only interested in making money. Quite out there for a non profit. I urge anyone considering working for Changing Lives to reconsider. There are many other non-profit organizations that actually care about their staff and clients. I have friends, running themselves into the ground to provide a positive service. But they're in food banks every evening because the company won't pay or offer any support for those in need. Think about how this then plays off in their clients. When things are tough, financially. Changing Lives and their management team refuse to visit us face to face to speak, or talk to us about the scenario. Instead, they tell us our jobs are at risk. I hope, one day, that someone will investigate Changing Lives and hold them accountable for their actions.
