Vantaggi
- The training is very thorough. - The staff (at my campus) is very friendly and accommodating. Bonus: they help answer questions if we need help. - We are given two weeks (at my campus) to train before we are expected to openly work with students and faculty. - We get occasional emails regarding promotions within the company when positions become available. - There is an established structure of tasks within the company. There is a procedural document on how to do each task. - If you need help on how to do a task, you can ask your fellow CSS's over the TEAMs chat. - There are weekly 1 on 1 meetings with all of the other CSS's to give information regarding the specific week or MOD. For example, reminders of Office Supply Orders being due that week at a specific time. - Trainings are recorded and emailed to you for your future reference, if needed. Bonus: They are followed by example email templates that you may use if you so wish. - There are SafeHouse and Leadership trainings. The SafeHouse trainings regard guidance through situations where you feel generally unsafe around another coworker. The Leadership trainings teach us of the ideals behind the college. The one that I found the most intriguing is that every voice is listened to. If something needs fixed, speak up as soon as possible to get it fixed! If there are other, better computer programs out there, speak up! We can integrate it and switch over. Every idea is to be heard and I highly respect that. - The structure to the CSS role is impressive. There is a date for everything to be done, and reminders. There is a procedure for everything. You have freedom to structure your day how you wish, as long as things get done. - There is a 1 on 1 (at my campus) with your supervisor every Friday to discuss where things are lacking and where things are going well. - If you have any concerns over coworkers, it is talked about behind closed-doors. - There is NO taking work home or working off of the clock. It is strictly enforced.
