They usually had your back if customers were threatening, verbally abusive, and/or racists, etc. and would close their accounts. Is a foot in the door to banking if you’re at the start of the career.

Customers abuse you. Sales heavy (credit cards, their campaigns for certain products, investing accounts) their “raises” are basically a slap in the face. Management can be micromanaging. There’s no real support to push their employees for promotion, or an easy path to get into corporate.
