Vantaggi
Consistent work even when the economy takes a downturn. They will seek out additional clients in order to ensure that their employees get a steady paycheck. Hours were often flexible and one could basically set their own schedule. Everyone including managers were payed the same(that's what I was told but always doubted).
Svantaggi
Not a whole lot of room for advancement or growth. People tend to get pigeon holed into one duty. The pay was enough to keep me there for a few years, but minimum wage and inflation is quickly overtaking that. Left to seek better education and employment opportunities. Everyone including managers were payed the same. Often times you would be contracted to work at companies where the other testers were making x2 as much as you were and due to a Non-Compete clause in the contract, it limited your options for switching companies.
