Vantaggi
Decent pay, especially if in the Bay Area or NYC or Seattle. Great benefits package, remote first culture
Svantaggi
C-staff is utterly incompetent. Not a single strategic decision has panned out, and regular employees suffer the consequences of poor leadership. CEO and CFO in particular have an obsession with things like pedigree (ie: where people went to school, FAANG company history, etc) that overshadows a person's actual competency for the job, and are raging narcissists. Anyone who disagrees or doesn't fall into line will find themselves being pushed out. All the leaders are out for themselves - if an idea works out, they take all the credit. If it fails, blame will be spread to others, who will fall on someone else's sword. Culture is a joke - probably one of the most toxic and political environments I've seen. Be prepared for leaders to lead the gaslighting charge with zero remorse or consequences. The mission is also a sham - the only fair chance employees are generally hired into the lowest paying roles and then are paraded around like show ponies as 'proof' the company lives up to its values. In general, diversity and inclusion is mostly non-existent, especially at senior leadership levels. The company tends to lean towards hiring externally vs promoting from within, and generally only hires referrals from other execs (see: nepotism), which doesn't lead to a more diverse leadership team.
