Vantaggi

The developers and designers have real talent. I really did learn a lot from them and I hope I made a few lasting friendships. I got to go to a conference. I asked about benefits and the lady told me "coffee, pop, and food on fridays" so I guess that goes in this section. I was laid off (Yes, this is better than working there)

Svantaggi

** I patiently waited a few days to post this ** Would you like to work for a company that doesn't offer relocation assistance? Would you like to work for a company that underpays its employees? Would you like to work for a company that has absolutely no benefits? Would you like to work for a company where you get 5 days of vacation per year that caps at 10 days until year 5 (no sick days)? Also, the CEO says "you guys get enough time off as it is." Would you like to work at a company that gives you a laughable apple watch for 6 year anniversary? Would you like to work for a company that has so much turnover that you witness 10+ people leave within six months, without rehires so it's not even turnover, it's just "turn"? Would you like to work for a company that has a CEO that is absolutely crazy and will even comment on this review to prove it? (What are you going to do now?) Would you like to work for a company that hires in leadership that says "Agile is stupid, let's instead plan and document" and come up with ideas so dull that all you can do is roll your eyes? Would you want to work with a leader that says "net-net" in client meetings? Would you like to work for a company that gives zero days notice that you'll be "laid off"? Would you like to work for a company that offers no severance? Would you like to get told "At least you can keep everything that you already own." as you're packing up your desk? If so, this place is the right place for you! Advice to the junior dev looking for a job/experience: - take the job if you must, get your experience - the devs are awesome - get going after a year. Of course, you'll figure that out.

Hey, this may come as a shock, but we would like to point out that sometimes (believe it or not) people are let go from jobs. We understand your frustration, but that's the way the real world works — and often this is a bitter pill to swallow. As a company, we strive to put the right people in the right chairs, and we can't settle for anything less than top performers who are a good culture fit. Not everyone makes the grade, and life teaches all of us that mature adults can use failure to their advantage by learning from it, and moving on with respect and dignity. Perhaps it is impossible for some to grow up, and that's exactly why they remain on the same old grammar school playground.

Vantaggi

Awesome opportunity to work at a smaller company that is growing - a lot of people don't appreciate how valuable that is and what potential exists because of the company's size and how fast it is growing. It is definitely a work hard, play hard mentality at Chepri. In order to succeed, you must be willing to put in the work when it's needed (which is only sometimes, not all the time). You will not do well if you're looking to put forth only minimal effort. The teams are all really tight, and often socialize with each other after work and even on the weekends. Overtime, I've come to feel like my co-workers are some of my closest friends. Flex scheduling is nice. You can come in anytime between 7am and 10am, and then leave depending on what time you arrived. That can really come in handy if you have doctor's appointments, kids, things you need to get done or had a little bit too much fun the night before.

Svantaggi

With the flex scheduling taken into consideration, being on time is very important. Also, attendance is huge. You don't want to be late or call off sick too often - especially if you are new. This should be a no brainer at any job, really, but some people will surprise you. Benefits aren't offered, but they should be soon.
