OKC is a horrible place to work at. The management team there plays favoritism to their favorite workers. If you are lucky enough to be one of the chosen ones your time there is golden, you are able to roam the halls, hang out in the office and around the front desk. It's like a sorority party when they all get together and hang out at the back side of the front desk area. Certain teachers get special privileges regarding their children like whenever their school is out for a holiday or an unexpected snow day, they get to stay home, while others are told they must come in and bring their children, because after all "we are a childcare center" and then you are charged the daily rate for them attending. One of the managers brought their infant twice for what they call a "discovery day", when I asked her if managers got a special discount on drop in days she literally laughed and told me that she wasn't going to pay them anything because "if they want me to come to work then I'm going to bring my child". When they need another manager to stay late for them they will also pick her 3 children up from school and I'm sure that this is a free service as well. This is just a small amount of the shady business that happens on a daily basis at OKC all under the nose of the corporate lady that is there all day. We were even told in a staff meeting that we should not talk to her or ask her any questions because "we ask stupid questions". REALLY?!? I guess that's why she stays locked up in the office behind closed doors all day, it's no wonder things are a mess at that center. There is absolutely no accountability for anything that happens there. I even talked to someone at the corporate level and still NOTHING changed. The only thing that talking to them caused was several teachers being called into the office to be questioned about "how are things going", like we are really going to tell you anything? You just sit back and allow this stuff to happen, if you really cared you would notice what is happening around you to begin with.
