Where most employers want to pay minimal wages while also requiring 2 years minimum experience, a college degree, or both, Choptank pays a fair starting salary, provides an extensive 1-month classroom training, plus several months closely working with managers to give you the best opportunity to succeed. Not only that, but there are MANY opportunities to advance your career and pay within the company. They require hard work, but they are also very honest and upfront about their expectations at all levels of the hiring and training process. They invest money in things that they need (not wasteful) and they promote people that are deserving. I was very impressed that at the outbreak of COVID-19, the President of the company created a company program for all employees to get reimbursed for take-out from local restaurants as a means of supporting the local owners who were severely impacted by the pandemic. That's they type of leadership you don't mind working hard for.
