2yThanks for your time with our company and mentioning our cafeteria service in the Merrill WI location. The staff does work hard to provide options that people will enjoy, and the company subsidizes the cost to help keep prices affordable.
Setting expectations for work and following up on results are two of the many important responsibilities supervisors have. This open communication helps both the employee and supervisor succeed. Sometimes people are not successful in a particular role and they decide to voluntarily leave. Or, their employment ends for performance reasons. In either situation, this can be a stressful time for both parties and communication is key. You are correct in that Church Mutual stated there would be no layoffs during the Covid pandemic to help employees and families get through that very difficult time. The company kept its promise. However, layoffs can occur in the normal course of business at any large employer. That’s true for us, too. We do our best to protect jobs, but also need to make decisions that are in the best interests of the company and its customers.
