I made friends there that I will cherish throughout the rest of my lifetime. The training there was great when I was there but started going downhill after the head of their training initiatives left. If you manage to catch any of the senior leadership they can be very engaging and remarkably pleasant. They are very competent strategically and make it a point to know how to set expectations with clients.

When you are a great employee in terms of skills, knowledge, and influence; you expect to be compensated for it without having to make a huge fuss. That is not the case here. If you want to make anywhere near what you are worth, be prepared to take a laundry list of accomplishments to HR/leadership. For a company that outsources part of the HR function, they are surprisingly naive of a few HR laws. For example, NLRA prohibits discouragement of collective bargaining. In several meetings and private discussions it was made clear that "we don't talk about salary." Your experience as far as culture varies by the team. Some managers are awesome and know what is going on with the client and what the talent landscape looks like. Others don't care to. That could be from being over-worked, from being lazy, or just being oblivious to reality. It is definitely a Kool-Aid culture. There is a fine line between promoting your culture and trying to shift focus from unpleasant topics (read pay).
