Super smart and compassionate coworkers. Everyone who joined Circulo really wanted to be a part of its mission. Unlimited PTO was nice to have and was encouraged to use.

Circulo ultimately tried to be too many things at once. First it was going to disrupt Medicaid insurance. Then it was going to disrupt primary care. Then it was going to disrupt home health services. And all of this was based on the assumption that the new tech it was developing would carry it across the finish line. Then came layoff #1…and layoff #2…and layoff #3. Despite continuous concerns from team members at all levels that Circulo’s mission was unclear at best - leadership continually promoted the idea that all of these facets were part of its grand plan to provide better health to everyone. While a lofty and daring goal - it was clear from everyday conversation with other coworkers that nobody knew what exactly was going on. And I think that was the most concerning part of working at Circulo. Even the people building the company didn’t really know where it was headed. As a whole, we were truly attempting to fly a plane before it was built…before a blueprint was even laid out. Unfortunately, when there are problems this deep with a startup, it’s because of leadership issues. You don’t fail this hard this fast unless some pretty big mistakes were made. Having worked with startups before, this was the most disorganized place I've ever worked.
