Vantaggi
I was part of last year's acquisition of Optimere, and most of my pros come from the culture, teamwork, and encouragement from that group of people. Everyone was willing to help out and if they weren't the person to do it, would send you to the right place. Obviously there were outliers here and there, but it really felt like we were working as a team with a unified mission, whether we were 50, 150, or 300 people. One thing that I'll say has improved with CivicPlus is the pay and commission structure has increased for me, not sure about others though.
Svantaggi
Having been able to stick with many my original team members and leadership is what has kept me here. I understand there are changes that happen when you're merging and migrating to new systems and processes, but I can't fathom the thought process that's gone into half of this. I've found many CivicPlus coworkers to be less than helpful and they don't seem willing to learn the various job functions that Optimere brought over that they now have to interact with. We only hear from the CEO once a month or when a traumatic event has happened. I'll wait 2 weeks to hear back from another team on something just to be told it's not their job and no other direction on where I should go (I went to you for a reason, if not you, then whom?). It's just not the standard myself or my team is used to. I think CivicPlus will be losing some key long-term and valued Optimere employees soon if things don't improve.
