I've been with Clear Path Analysis for just over a year now in a sales role, working with some of the largest names in the institutional finance industry across our range of industry reports and events. Working closely with the CEO I've been given a lot of great opportunities for development, and his management style suits me perfectly - there with support when needed but trusting and happy to let me crack on in a style that suits me. Company pros are: - Small, close knit team - Opportunities to work from home - Fantastic office location in Angel - Opportunities to work with some of the largest names in the industry - A fantastic product that clients genuinely want and see value in - Good remuneration and generous commission structure - Realistic and achievable sales targets - Opportunities to contribute outside of your core role - A huge lead database and no shortage of contacts

In terms of Cons, a lot of it is subjective, for example for me a small team is a bonus but I appreciate this isn't the case for everybody. Similarly the independent style of working and management might not suit all people. Praise is given when earned but it certainly isn't a hand-holding workplace and you need to be capable of thinking on your feet. The CEO travels for business a lot, so you need to be prepared to trust your own instincts and deal with situations as they arise on your own when they aren't immediately available to advise. Working with international clients occasionally means making calls in the early morning / late evening - this isn't mandated and is a personal choice, but it's something to consider. As a small company, there is no sales administration function and nothing in the way of sales enablement tools. So be prepared to carry out your own admin, CRM input, reporting and customer success actions - you are responsible for the full sales cycle from initial discovery through to close and aftercare (again, not particularly a con in my eyes but this is personal preference - if you're used to a larger corporate environment with huge amounts of sales support, SDR / AE dynamics etc it could be a big change in working style).

I work remotely, with zero micro-management. I have access to a reliable database to complete my projects, and have open and candid catch-ups with my manager. Management is open to new ideas and is supportive and understanding of personal commitments and working around my schedule. It's very straightforward and common sense work. I get my assignments, I turn them in, and get paid on a regular basis. I have been working on a part-time basis with Clear Path Analysis for three years and find the experience very enjoyable and stress-free. I appreciate the camaraderie between the staff, even though I work remotely and on a part-time basis. I find it to be a very enjoyable working environment and I have a great deal of appreciation for the management.

Svantaggi

I can't really call this a "con," but the frequency of the projects is somewhat sporadic, as tends to happen when one is working as a freelancer. There may be some months were you have four projects, and others when there is only one. However, on a 12-month basis, there has been a steady stream of work, so no complaints from me.
