Overall I would say that ClearBank is a really positive place to work where people are encouraged to collaborate and problem solve, offering a great opportunity to drive real outcomes that support many of the largest FinTechs in the UK and Europe.

ClearBank is heading through a number of “scale-up challenges” - and whilst this is a privileged position in many respects, it does necessitate some changes in approach. This is generally being well managed by the business, but some people may find the pace of change difficult.

It’s exciting to work alongside high calibre people who want to do great work. We’re flexible and driven by output and impact not time spent at our desks. I manage my team in the same way and I know they appreciate this flex CB offers. We’re asked to come into the office around once a week if we live near and once a month if not which has been a recent change to how we work.

No where is perfect, some functions are further along in their journey to optimise and streamline how they work which can lead to tensions when trying to deliver at pace but progress is happening. The tech kit is more banking than tech/fintech so on a personal level using Microsoft vs google and slack which has taken some getting used to for sure.
