Co-workers are mostly warm and they pay you weekly. There are hushed talks about unions that are gaining steam.
Svantaggi
They are one of the most unorganized companies I have ever had the displeasure of working for. Supervisors do very little work and make 80-100k+ while starting pay for production is $13/hr. They talk about how we're family and they're here to support us, but COVID19 related ppe is not offered and social distancing is not enforced. Supervisors have their spouses and kids work at the company and they get obvious preferential treatment. Employees who have been with company for several years have terrible attitudes which makes the enviroment incredibly toxic The culture is incredibly toxic and there is rampant racism. The Mexican and Filipino workers bad mouth other workers in their native languages and I heard a Supervisor yell at a lead to come back where they came from. The owner is an ego maniac who has cost or nearly cost the company contracts because he throws tantrums at client meetings and the company props up another local business with deplorable hiring practices because they're drinking buddies. They are one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever had the displeasure of working for. Supervisors do very little work and make 80-100k+ while starting pay for production is $13/hr. They spend massive amounts of money to indoctrinate you into the “click bond” way, instead of offering competitive wages or decent benefits. The front office and HR departments act like they’re a high school prom committee instead of professionals. We don’t need motivational messages written in sidewalk chalk by the front door, we need PPE. If they really appreciated us they would invest in N95s and social distancing would be more than just lip service. They allow supervisors to hire their family members which then get preferential treatment and create a toxic work environment. I have personally seen several instances of absolute unadulterated nepotism get ignored because somebody mom/dad/brother/sister/brother is a higher up. Work as hard as you want, but if you’re not or if you don’t tolerate the occasional toilet humor or racism you’re not going to get far here. I have seen good employees be completely demoralized because supervisors told them to “go back where they came from” with zero consequences to the supervisor. The logic is “that’s just how they are” or “they didn’t mean anything by it” and HR and upper management turn a blind eye. The pay is bad, the insurance is expensive, and there are no clear path for advancement. Anyone who tells you different is either lying or drank the kool-aid. If you absolutely must work here make sure that you have a clear exit strategy. The people who have invested a significant amount of time here often make less than people are hired fresh off the street and are incredibly unhappy.
