Wrong senior managers, AVPs. Too much office politics. People at top unaware of what's happening at the bottom. Getting things done takes a back seat. Have to fight for credit. Lacks innovation or the psychological safety to drive it. Whole organisation works wrong on so many levels that it is surprising how it is still up and running. Far away from the GE legacy.

I have been in a situation where HR felt more like a roadblock than a support system. My colleagues were great, but the HR team? It felt like they existed just to redirect every issue back to reporting managers, it makes you wonder what their actual purpose is. I was promised a designation change after 3 months, then it was pushed to 6, and eventually denied, don’t know the reason, it’s frustrating when you work hard and honestly, but promises aren’t kept, and there is no accountability. Who is really responsible when things go wrong, HR, The CCO, or the reporting manager? Or do they just ignore it all ?
